i like how they always get excited about seeing the other members on tv like as if they're not idols themselves :/

kanjani eight manages to succeed in all areas of their work, and excel beyond expectations in ‘10!
maru: I often see our members on tv!
baru: in my mind I go ‘amazing~’. I’m really happy to see all of us being active on tv.
maru: I received a mail from Subaru-kun saying ‘i saw freeter!’ when we were shooting and I was super motivated after that. then, once I went to the movies and we saw chonmage purrin’s trailer.. some couple beside me went ‘ah this looks interesting..’ it was a novel feeling, and I was really happy.
yoko: did they notice it was you?
maru: they totally didnt (laughs)
yoko: then there’s also bouken JAPAN’s locations shoots which started in April. that really left an impression on me.
eito: ah~! (everyone agrees)
tatsu: that was bad, it was almost like.. hell!
yoko: we rode in stormy weather on the boat for 6 hours. we were all groggy but we still had to work like our life depended on it.
hina: the ship was gna sink, really. and we might have drowned with it!
yasu: ‘we’re gna die!’ I thought.
maru: honestly if yoko wasn’t there then the shoot wouldn’t have ended, thank you for taking care of the difficult situation (bows at yoko)
yoko: nahh anyone would have done the same.
hina: we really panicked abit then.
tatsu: yeah there was also that.. what a fulfilling 2010!
yasu: and we released our album 8UPPERS too, I really have a lot of confidence in this production.
yoko: we also did a music film. that was really a big step forward for us.
ryo: because it felt like a real movie and everything.
baru: and now we’re in the midst of our 8UPPERS tour. it’s a real fulfilling feeling.
yasu: lives and albums is the way we connect with everyone.
ryo: and then, my birthday was in between the days we were moving from Sapporo to Fukuoka. on the last day of Sapporo (I’m so gna get a surprise party) I thought, so I was waiting nervously. in the end it didn’t come and I was totally ‘ehhh~?!’ . alright, maybe it will come on the first day of Fukuoka! so I waited again, and it didn’t come. and I started thinking, maybe its cause I’m always in the green room and everyone didn’t like me anymore!
yoko: that day you were mucking around on your own, gloomy all day!
ryo: no, you see, my birthday’s already passed and all, and on the day itself all the members did wish me! so I was totally waiting. how embarrassing! and then on the last day of Fukuoka when I’ve forgotten all about it, you guys did it! I was all ‘ah! ahhh!’ (laughs) (liar, I bet he didn’t forget XD)
tatsu: you were really shocked!
yasu: our attack plan was soo successful.
baru: we had you in the palms of hand (laughs)
ryo: because I gave up on it already, so as expected I was really happy.
yoko: because of that, the live became really good!
maru: for giving the concert a refreshing start, thank you!
baru: concerts are like living things, so it will be different every time. every day the audience will experience a different concert and be surprised by us. if a ‘betrayal’ is what we need, then a betrayal you will get! (betrayal, as in cheating ryo I think)
speaking of surprises, during the countdown of ’09, you guys appeared as ninjas. it really made an impression and made everyone laugh. what will you guys be appearing in during this countdown? what surprises will you bring us?
maru: till now we haven’t decided on anything yet but for sure, we want to surprise everyone with something.
hina: the tour is going on right now and our minds are chock full of ideas for it, we’ll make it work no matter what!
yoko: I think its alright not to torture ourselves over ideas, just go with the flow and it will come.
alright, with one kanji, sum up the fulfilling year of 2010!
hina: for me, its ‘fun’ (楽). this is the year I got to see the member’s laughing faces a lot.
yasu: ‘banquet’ (宴), everyday was like a party to me.
ryo: for me, its ‘cultivate’ (耕)
maru: to plant a seed and see it grow - ‘plant’ (植)
baru: then for me it’ll be ‘live’ (生). like the drive a sprout has to keep on growing, as it grows slowly, it holds a great anticipation towards what it will become. just like our carefully crafted concerts. I like the feeling it gives me at the end, its really fun.
tatsu: for me, ‘drunk’ (酔)
hina: and that’s something only this fella will say. its gotta be because he likes both alcohol itself, and his drunk self.
yoko: ‘up’ (上). looking upwards and working hard towards improvement! this year we will work harder than the last. and then next year we will work harder than this year!
baru: with these feelings, we will get through whatever obstacles that come our way! with this hungry-spirit we will go on to the next year!
yoko: we’ll be alright even if once in a while we get tortured on “bouken JAPAN” (laughs)!
tatsu: yepp!
