And I miss you when you're gone...

So graduation happened.  It was a long busy hectic day being that I had two graduation convocation ceremonies to go to after the big main ceremony at the stadium.  The stadium speaker was really boring and he really had no point and his entire speach was highly unorganized.  Unfortunately I have to say the same thing about the English speaker, and I am fairly certain I fell asleep.  I had such a blast at the Women's Studies convocation though, it was so small and intimate and I almost lost it when I had to hug Laberge.  Oh and also I was totally myselt at both ceremonies being that I tripped at the English one and dropped all my papers and "Diploma" at the Women's Studies.  Yay Me!!

After all the ceremonies we had a party here at hte apartment for all the roomates and families.  It was really nice, we all sat around talking, eating good food, and drinking really good wine/champagne.  It was so dignified for 2404!! Our parents really hit it off which is always fun to watch.  Saturday night was a good night, but I had to say goodbye to Matt which lead to a sobbing Teresa.  Never fun.

Sunday I got up and drove down to Virginia Beach with the familia.  We had a hotel right on the beach so I was a very happy girl.  I also got to stuff myself full of delicious crabs and seafood.  My diet has been so boring here at school so it was nice to eat real food again.  I guess it is true!! Wheat isnt in everything afterall.  We had a Memorial Day BBQ at my uncle's house and Steph, Peter, and I ran over to Home Depot and bought a piece of wood for a pong table and set up in the backyard.  The entire family played after dinner (with water for most) and again it was so nice to be able for the "kids" (Peter is the youngest at 20) to hang out with their parents.  My dad and I held down the table for 5 rounds!!  Nectar even sunk a couple shots herself....

Wednesday I went to Busch Gardens with Peter and his GF then that night I went to Williamsburg with my parents.  We are such nerds and I guess we get into that stuff.  Thursday we woke up early and drove back to Northern Virginia for my cousin Katie's high school graduation.  Ben Affleck was the graduation speaker and he gave a really good speech.  I was pleasantly surprised.  Ten years ago he befriended one of the graduates through the Make a Wish Foundation and they have been friends ever since.  It was nice to see the two of them interact on stage and mess around with each other.  We had another party at Katie's house that acted as a joint graduation party.  There was a giant cake with both our faces on it that I couldnt stop laughing it.  It was regretable that I was not able to eat my own face.  I hope someone else was able to enjoy it haha, ok weird.

So for now.  I am back in Delaware all by my lonesome!! Hopefully someone else will be coming to hang out with me soon.  I am keeping quite busy though, as I am working everyday in Maryland for the Winner's and I am taking a Folklore class on Tuesday and Thursday nights for some added entertainment.  I plan to do some travelling this summer as well...NYC and DC of course.  I would also love to make it back down to VA Beach sometime...hopefully when the ocean isnt too freezing to swim in!!

Oh yea....did I mention I might be moving to Campinas, Brazil !?!?

<3 peace
