What's up with me?

Sorry for the length of time between updates. I've mainly switched to Facebook since I felt that most of my entries were kinda downers.

So what's up with me? Hmmm where to start....

Well, I just got back from Defcon 17 in Las Vegas. Had a great time, but I'm still off from the stupid jetlag (and the fact that I didn't have a weekend this past week). Work has been it's usual brand of suck. I put in my resume for a promotion, but I sincerely doubt I'll get it. However, it gave me a reason to update the damn thing, so when I go to put it out to other places I won't have to run around trying to freshen it up.

Brian and I are staying in the apartment for another year. I'm excited about that. Hooray for stability! He's currently talking about setting up a saltwater aquarium with our spare 10gal.

I've really gotten into the photography lately (even though I didn't get to do as much in Vegas as I would've liked). I try to update my flickr account regularly. I've joined a few groups on meetup.com so I have reason to get out of the house and go shoot.

Personal wise....I've been blocking off more of my time for 'me', to tackle things that I want to do. It lets me decide my schedule instead of someone else. I'm thinking about attending DragonCon this year. I still have most of my vacation time to burn and taking that week off would be awesome. The first girl I ever was attracted to found me on facebook (a particular feat since she still isn't very tech savvy). We've been catching up. It's nice to know she hasn't dropped off the face of the planet and she's even fairly local (Athens). It took me by complete surprise.

I'm trying to figure out what the next step is in Life(tm). Should I start a post-colliegate study program? Should I concentrate on switching up careers? Should I concentrate more on my love life? Etc, etc, etc. I just don't know, but I'll eventually find out I guess.

As for the cats, they're doing fine. Fireball's got Interstitial Cystitisc though, which completely sucks for him. It sucks even more that there's very little we can do about it. Brian and I just concentrate on keeping him hydrated. But on the upside, he's more friendly lately and loves coming up to people to get pets.

I can't be sure when the next update will be, but if something noteworthy comes along, I'll be sure to post about it.

I hope all of you are well.

~Jenn
