Lazy times at the house.

OH YEAH I HAD LASER EYE SURGERY...about one and a half weeks ago. Since then I was supposed to avoid anything that could stress my eyes out, so obviously no computer. A week after my eyes still got tired out from the white screen. I cancelled lessons for a while so i could just sleep off the oral sedative they gave me, it was really powerful XP

My peripheral vision is still a bit blurry at times, but I'm told that that's normal. Otherwise, it's kind of...weird, adjusting to no glasses. I still lift my hands up whenever my eyes blur a little and remember "oh yeaaaaah".

It's also really terrifying. I mean, the centre and the surgeons were really nice and all, BUT IT WAS A TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE. There's a pretty decent chance that i'll have to go back in a few months for another operation - it depends on how my eyes heal - and I'm nervous about that too. :P

The lack of computer has unchained me from the daily RIFT grind - I no longer feel the desire to log in. I also don't...really play on the computer now. Except that's because it's been supplemented by a new hobby: SEWING CHICKENS.

Next LARP event (this weekend, actually) there's a Market Day. To celebrate the visit of the Edmonton players, the owners have suspended the regular vendor fee. And with all these lovely potential customers showing up, I'm sewing like crazy. Not just baby chickens, but bigger chickens too to use as physreps (my character is a chicken farmer).

The day before we were supposed to leave for our Niagara weekend vacation, Peter got sick. Really sick. Selfishly, I was quite annoyed at the loss of deposit and VACATION (I don't get out much), but he really took the bug hard. When Peter gets sick, he gets laid low HARD, and I just try to get him to stay in bed while I feed him random food.

public, larp
