Typing Chinese: success! Kind of.
Upside: by purchasing my laptop in Taiwan, I can type Chinese without additional installation and conveniently have the characters pre-printed onto my keyboard.
Downside: I have to learn bopomofo, something I have fought learning all this time.
Well, I now have something productive to do with my time.
EDIT: With pie's help, I'm learning how to figure out typing pinyin on my laptop. It's infinitely easier (could whip off a whole sentence right away instead of referring to my cursed character guide), but I'm having problems getting common characters to work.
Non-sequitur, I finally got my battle navigation up to Distinguished, meaning that I actually have a vague clue on how to do it.
