He’d whipped out his phone the second he’d pulled up to the house, and miracle among miracles, Scott actually answered. Of course, he’s not so pleased about that now. "My Dad thinks Derek and I are dating, ( Read more... )

No worries. I had no idea people were shipping them! I was definitely the last to know, but it makes sense. I was definitely reading all like, "Oh no she didn't!... She totally went there, omfg. This is cray. Must send to all my TW lov'n friends" :)

Haha! Well, honestly, I AM actually sorry if it traumatized you at all, but I'm glad you're aware of the ship now...? A LOT of people ship Derek/Stiles (Sterek, if you're into portmanteaus), actually. Like a vast majority of the fandom (though of course not everyone). The thing about them is not so much that they're super in love in the show, because LOLOL, not even close. I think what I, and a lot of other people love, is their potential to be really awesome for each other. Stiles literally brings out the humour and snarkiness in Derek that no other character does, and even though they claim not to like or trust each other, they've both saved each other's lives multiple times. And Stiles is the single only person that Derek's ever really allowed himself to be vulnerable around ( ... )

Not so traumatized, more like thoroughly entertained and surprised. I think it makes sense once you think about it. When actors have chemistry, we notice and the shipping begins. After I read this I Googled Sterek and my computer exploded with fandom. That vid is awesome! I think it's interesting that everyone shipped them instead of bromanced them. There's always that special something that makes fans go one way or the other. The fan fiction about it is definitely better written than it is for a lot of other ships/shows/books ( ... )

Okay, well that's good news that it was mostly a good/enlightening experience instead of a scary one! The actors definitely have chemistry with each other on screen, that can't be denied. It is interesting that it's shipped as a romance more than a bromance, but that's just how it seems to go ( ... )
