If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We'd see the day when nobody died

We'd see the day, we'd see the day
When nobody died
We'd see the day, we'd see the day
When nobody died
We'd see the day when nobody died

Why does this issue hit me more than Columbine, 9/11 and why does it hit me harder now that I am home and the students at V. Tech aren't? While they are sitting there on campus suffering, away from their families while i am sitting here at home wishing I was back at school. Can you imagine a shooting at your school? What would you do? Where would you go as soon as you heard the first gunshot? Why does this issue has to be on every single news channel, why does the information keep repeating itself?

The V.Tech massacre is just insane. I can't put myself in that situation, it hurts to just think about it. I can't begin to imagine myself back at school while something this huge is going on. It's just so sad. I know everyone knows about this but what are you doing about it? Writing about it is probably the best I can do and it's depressing because i can't do anything better. Most of us turn on the television, read the newspaper and see a blurb and think about it for 3 mins and go on with the rest of their day. Maybe they will donate a few bucks towards an organization trying to help and that's it. It's sad that our country isn't more like a tight knit community, its sad that we havent bonded as a nation and i think thats where it hits home. Television shows talk about it especially this morning and most of us just listen, we dont speak out. Why?

Something like this needs more attention, especially since it happened at a college. It's just harmful to see something like this happen close to the 8yr anniversary of the Columbine shootings...it's just plain sad..

Well it keeps raining. I think that the weather is reflecting what the country should be feeling at a time like this..

RIP Virginia Tech Victims and Families...you will not be forgotten
