I've been looking for this fic for days. Remus and Sirius live together/are together, but either James or Sirius isn't too comfortable with PDA. Remus comes home with good news, but then Sirius shouts out that James is there. Remus is upset that he can't be as open with Sirius about his good news, because James is there. I know you posted this a long time ago, but I was just looking through and both the scenes you describe are ones I recognised - however, I think they are in two different stories:

1. the warning that James is over, I think is from Sprog of Prongs by Torch songs at http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/torch_songs/SOP01a.html
2. the ice lollies I only recalling reading in It's the Thought by gryffindorj at http://rs-small-gifts.livejournal.com/159508.html
