(Actually, I was mixing up two different fics, I think. Yours and another where Remus sees James at the train station after the summer and he's struck by his crush then, and he goes off to do prefect duties, looking back over his shoulder at him, and James gives him a mocking little wave. He ends up with Sirius, though, eventually. But everything else I remembered was from your fic.)

Yes! Thank you! I love the fic, but I just reread it and I want to hurt James and Sirius SO MUCH for doing that to Remus. I think when I first read this I had to make up a sequel in my head where Remus breaks it off with Sirius and goes off to be happily shagged/loved by, like, both the Prewett brothers, or something. ;p

I do love a rather selfish bastard James characterization once in a while, though. ;)

But I'd prefer a sequel where Remus stews for a bit, and then gets all possessive!dom on Sirius, and then Sirius realizes what a prick he's been and that he really does love and belong with Remus, and is all guilty/repentent, and then in the morning Remus is all "I'm sorry, you can leave me if you want to, I don't own you" and Sirius is all "yes you do."

Or, you know, something like that.

I like the way you think! ;) Yeah, I could definitely go for that scenario now. The first time I read it I was so gutted for Remus, I wanted Sirius to suffer, though.
