I want to read a good story. One with plot-like stuff in it.  No uber angsty stuff... but some gore would be ok. And some laughing. Or some kissing. Or whatever. I just want to read something good.

I’m rather disappointed that others in the community haven’t chimed in to rec some of their favorites so I’ll try again since I know there is a good chance that you’ve already read these. (I’m not recommending anything from the outstanding R/S Games because I know now that you’re on Team MWPP.)
How about The Uncle by Sam-Storyteller?

Now here is a Marauder fic from my memories that I adore. It stars the Marauders + Lily but it’s a friendship fic with no real pairings. The reason I love it is that it is from Peter’s point of view and it’s very perceptive of their characters and how the group dynamic worked as have anticipated a problem of Remus’ and they all want to help him.

And I like this tale about teenaged Remus and Sirius babysitting Sirius’ four year old cousin, Nymphadora. The Tonks are offering (bribing) the boys with good pay. How hard could this be? No pairings if you don’t read the fifth part, a sort of epilogue.
