Er.
Uh, so it's totally possible that I'm completely making this fic up, but I think I might have read it at one point or another and now it's killing me that I can't think of what it was called or who it was by, so I'd really like to know if it actually exists or if my mind is playing tricks on me again.
So these are the details that came to mind...
-Sirius is in love with Remus, and Remus is oblivious.
-Remus and Sirius are discussing music one day and Remus mentions this one extremely rare record he wish he had.
-I can't remember which, but it's either Christmas or Remus's birthday that is coming up soon.
-Sirius goes to great lengths to find Moony's record.
-Remus opens it and is all awed and amazed and "I love you, Padfoot" and Sirius is all "You're welcome" in a humble and blush-y way. (And I don't mean those are actual lines in the fic - I'm just being odd in my description.)
-Fic does NOT end up R/S, just Sirius pining for Remus. (Awww, so bittersweet.)
If it turns out that this doesn't exist (I have this habit of thinking something's happened when really it didn't - I think I have dementia or something) I SO CALL DIBSIES ON WRITING IT.
But it it does exist, PLEASE tell me because I would love to read it again!
EDIT: WAIT! One more fic, and this one I KNOW exists.
-Time frame is right after The Prank with the Whomping Willow.
-Remus gets Sirius to play a drinking game with him (Truth or Drink or something like that).
-Sirius thinks, "Remus doesn't drink like this," or something along those lines.
-Remus, fairly drunk, asks, "Why?" and then goes on to add, "When I--" (Again, or something along those lines.)
-Sirius realizes what Remus is trying to say even though he doesn't actually say it, and he feels HORRIBLE.
-There is lots of crying (both from me and the boys).
It was SO SAD and so UTTERLY HEARTBREAKING that I simply have to read it again. (I don't know what it is with me and sadfic. It kind of scares me. But they usually are the best written and most heartfelt fics.)
If you know what it is, I'd be much obliged if you could direct me to it!
