Justin smiles at the owl a little, though he still looks worried. He doesn't buy the 'nothing's wrong' bullshit for a minute, but he doesn't want Brian to be alone either.

And it's not like he doesn't want to blow Brian.

Justin manages to bribe some Slytherin second years he's tutored into letting him into the common room, and he already knows the way to Brian's room. He taps on the door lightly.

Brian's lying in bed, just sort of staring at the wall. He's done a lot of that, the past few day.

He doesn't know why someone would be knocking on the door, but he won't be getting up.

"It's open," he calls out, not sitting up because he doesn't really care who it is.

Justin comes in, shutting the door behind him quietly. "Hey," he says quietly.

He doesn't wait to be invited and goes to lay down on the bed next to Brian, curling at the other boy's side and draping his arm over Brian's waist.

He kisses the corner of Brian's jaw lightly, then just to the left of his mouth. He strokes his hand over Brian's side, soothing, slow strokes.

Brian doesn't respond at first. He doesn't move or even look at Justin.

"What are you doing here?"

"Coming to see you," Justin says, keeping his voice gentle and soft. He doesn't stop the light kisses, brushing his lips over Brian's temple, just behind his ear. Light, almost chaste kisses. He avoids Brian's lips with his mouth, though he strokes his fingertips lightly over Brian's lower lip and chin, comb through his hair.

He sighs, though. The touches do feel nice. And something in him wants the contact, even if other parts of him just want to be left alone.

Justin humms noncommitally, curling his fingers into Brian's hair gently, kissing his eyebrow. It's a little silly, but he wants Brian to smile, if he can work it. And if not, he just wants to be there for the other boy.

Justin nuzzles against Brian's cheek lightly, kissing it once, then again. He kisses the bridge of Brian's nose lightly, still brushing through his hair.

Brian sighs again, less content, more aggravated.

His eyes are closed. His body is tense.

"What. Are. You. Doing."

He should just tell the kid to leave. But he doesn't really want to.

Justin can hear that Brian's starting to get pissed, can feel the tension radiating from his body and backs off a little, though he still keeps his arm around Brian's waist.

"Killing you with kindness?" He kisses the corner of Brian's jaw again. "What do you want me to do," he asks softly, gently.
