Bio: Born in 1964, she was raised in the Hare Krishna commune at Bhaktivedanta Manor, the property that George Harrison gave to the ISKCON movement. She attended gurukula (religious school) but then received her Hogwarts letter. Her parents considered it a gift from Krishna and sent her there despite strenuous protests by their temple president.
Lorelei was born Jamuna devi dasi. but she never took initiation which greatly disappointed her parents. After Hogwarts, she got into muggle university and majored in Physics. During her senior year, her financial situation became dire so she dropped out and spent ten years cooking in an American temple. After that she became burnt out and turned to drugs and the occult for the inner knowledge that she'd always believed she had. In a few short years she became a published author and master of the tarot and other divination techniques. In 2005, she accepted a teaching position at Hogwarts.
