SGA 5x8 (The Queen) thoughts (spoilers)
Teyla was awesome.
Todd was awesome.
The team was the team (awesome by definition).
After the sketchiness of last week, it was nice to see SGA back to its old self. With the addition of more plot twists than a roller-coaster. Todd obviously pounced on the opportunity provided by their proposal to further his own agenda, with the kind of tact and humour only he can muster. He is still made of awesome.
Teyla, of course, handled the situation with as much calm and grace as we have come to expect from her. Though it was a little odd (if understandable because of the way the casting is) to have Teyla talking to John about all of this instead of, oh, Kanaan (who has apparently disappeared). I wonder if Teyla actually got to enjoy herself a little, being able to run roughshod over those Wraith. Also? Way for Teyla to kill as many Wraith as possible, even with Todd right there.
I like John, Rodney, and Ronon stuck trying to find and then "rescue" Teyla with yet-another of John's hair-brained schemes. Though I sometimes wonder how he's survived this long, with the absolutely terrible ideas he has. Honestly. Though, given the information they had, what else could we expect?
I was glad to see that, despite opportunity, TPTB did not push McKay/Keller into the episode. Though, dudes, what happened to the credits?
