Super Bowl

Patriots 24 - Eagles 21. Yeah I'm disappointed; a blowout would have been easier to stomach. I guess I can't complain too much - the Eagles and their fans made an excellent showing, they were just beaten by a better team. I'm starting to feel the alcohol a little bit, but I'm far from drunk (just thought I'd throw that in there). Surprisingly I don't feel nearly as bad as I did after the last couple losses in the NFC Championship Game, or even as bad as I expected to. I guess there are four reasons for this: 1. They lost to a good team. 2. I feel better about next year than I did after last year since they have T.O. and Kearse this time. 3. We finally got to the Super Bowl; we got over that hump we hadn't been able to cross. 4. A couple of my friends have been hit with some hard shit in the last day or two and it really makes you sit back and realize, football is just a stupid game. Yeah its fun to root for your team and awesome when they win, but there are more important things happening every day (I say that after an Eagles loss; I already told people if they won today would be the happiest day of my life). So yeah, there are my immediate reactions to a tough loss by the Eagles. Well I'm off to drown my sorrows and ignore my homework... (25 days till spring training). Oh yeah, and Bettman and Goodenow can go to hell for taking away the Flyers' season. What the hell am I meant to watch for the next three weeks? Basketball?
