(no subject)
Funny Story, I guess.
So, its 5:15pm...the magic window in which I normally try to leave work. Car stutters, starts, dies. WTF. OK, Battery doesn't sound weak, starter is cranking its ass off. Why won't you start? Previously, I had a similar situation in which the positive terminal was really corroded, same symptoms, cranks and cranks but won't turnover. Well, i was able to fix that by cleaning the terminals. That didn't work this time. It appears that the problem is either lack of spark or lack of fuel. I even tried jumping it off, even though the battery seemed to be putting out plenty of juice.
So I gave up, called Julie who was at home studying and go wait inside after fooling with the car for another 10 mins. I started thinking about possibly a fuse problem, so I go out and check the fuel pump and ignition coil fuses. They're ok. I try starting it again for the hell of it, and it turns over immediately. WTF,again. So I call Julie to tell her it started, she asks "do you know where I am", I guess "coming down the street?" and she says ".....noooooo."
So I turn around and there she is in her jeep right behind me. She had apparently just drove up when I started the car. (that's the mildly amusing part)
So I have no idea what is wrong and it will probably be fine for another couple of months. Its like it was flooded, except I didn't think that happens with fuel injection. I mean, I had just taken the car out for lunch with no problems.
