‘Don’t overdo it’

Quoting Akihiko.
Ahahaha I wonder why Shinjirou calls him ‘Aki’? They seem to be pretty close, eh. *laughs a filthy laughter*

Schools are having some days off because it’s the beginning of the fasting month. So I’m spending time relaxedly at home: autistically playing P3, finishing some artwork, including this one that now adorns my desktop:

More about the artwork can be found at my DA account.

And ah, this is uncanny.

Finished The Kite Runner. A tearful reading, but a very good one. Now I’m reading Stephen King’s Everything’s Eventual that shediao lent me.

Am listening to VHS or Beta’s latest, Bring on the Comets. Hmmm what should I say about this album? I like VHS or Beta, but I’m aware that they sound like other bands while sounding like themselves. I mean, when I hear one of their songs, I can know immediately that it’s them, but at the same time I will think, “But isn’t that Daft Punk?” Burn It All Down, for instance, is perhaps how Daft Punk would sound like if they turned political. (Er, I’m not sure, have they?) ‘Burn the Flag, burn the House, burn the churches burn it all down… Burn the streets, burn the trees, burn the lessons, burn it all down…’ Ah! So the night is still on fire.
And VHS or Beta has reached their poppish best with Love In My Pocket. Oh my god, the gleeful fun.

Also listening to New Young Pony Club. If they’re wondering who they are, just remember Intel Dual Core ‘Multiply’ TV ad. ‘I can give you what you want…’ That’s NYPC. Am also enjoying Peter Pan’s latest. I don’t care if you think they’re overrated or what, but they do make good music. There are reasons why they’re one of the biggest Indonesian bands today, mind you. And it’s not only about Ariel getting girls pregnant.
