"Thank you for calling Reservations, how can I help you?"

So, job! This is my 3rd full week, and it's going well! I'm pretty much out of training & have been answering the phone & booking my own reservations for about 1.5 weeks now. Yay commission! I've never worked in a business/sales type job before, so some of the money aspects are different. I think I've been catching on just fine though, the supervisors seem happy to have me on staff. Everyone in the office has been so helpful and patient! I ask questions about every 5 mins, haha. It's easy work for the most part. I know I don't want to work in an office for the rest of my life, but it's not too bad. When we're busy (as we have been!) the day goes by fast. The only downsides so far are really cranky people (I forward them to the supervisor), the office is open from 7am-11pm (some odd shifts, 1-9, 3-11, 11-7 & such), and the office is open 365 days a year (bye bye holidays). I really need to stop finding jobs that are open all year. I need to work at a bank or something, those people get like a day off every two weeks, or so it seems. :-P I like making people happy, telling them about the area & helping them find what they're looking for. Also, if you're really awesome, I can get you a room there for $99/night ;-) Just let me know well ahead of time!

Stuff with the guy is going well. It's been hard lately tho, we're down to just seeing each other fri night & saturday. I work Sundays, and 3 days during the week, he has an overnight job, in addition to his day job. By the time I see him Fri evening, he's been awake for over 80 hrs :-( We usually just have time for dinner and then he crashes (perfectly underestandable). We've filled the last month of Saturdays with everything from being lazy inside, to fishing (I really need to write that b-day wrap up blog), last week we went to the zoo, and this week we hung out with friends. There's not really a shortage of stuff to do, it's just hard to pick since we both know there's such a limited amount of time. Obviously I love spending time together, and I'm trying not to be too uptight about it, but I'm not going to lie, it is tough sometimes. But it's not forever, the overnight job should end sometime in June (key word = should). And after that just brings more tough decisions that I don't want to really think about. He's wonderful :-)

I haven't heard back from grad school yet.
