Bleck. I'm sorry about that, hun. I hope you feel better soon! I kinda know your pain. I went from sounding like an 11 year old boy going through puberty to Lindsay Lohan (which is pretty much the same) and then finally back to myself.
Well, see, what happened to me was I got super sick for about two days. It was because after school it started pouring rain, and of course, I was wearing a top that left quite a bit of me exposed (without being--you know--over-exposed). That night I started getting the on-comings of a fever and by Tuesday morning, I was all-out siiick. So, I took that day and Wednesday off (to recover; I require two days) and was back in school for Thursday and Friday.
Then over the weekend I got...*drumroll* LARYNGITIS!!*cymbal*
My voice completely cut out on Monday, so I had to miss that day of school. I went back on Tuesday though (this is when I sounded like the boy) and then Wednesday/Thursday I sounded like Lindsay (more on Wednesday) and Friday, my voice had pretty much returned to normal. I'm still getting over it though, but at least I can talk! (I'll tell you what, not speaking for like three days was haaaard. Especially when your five year old nephew is annoying the piss out of you. >.o)
I've only had it twice. Once when I was 11 and now last week. XD;; I haaaaate it. My voice will sound like Peppermint Paty sometimes, so Dad makes me say, "Hey Chuck." Or he'll vouch for, "Marcy, stop calling me sir!"
Well, the day I stayed home and over the weekend, I kind of avoided everybody (I didn't wanna get Logyn re-sick and didn't want to get Ayden sick [Ayden = 7mo. old]) and if I had to speak, I communicated through mouthing it out, charades, or writing. I've come to discover that my family sucks at charades.
They tried to tell me I sucked at them, but on Tuesday at school, Sarah totally got my charades! DX I snapped my fingers to get her attention. I pointed to her, then to my eyes, then to my belongings. Tapped my watch with one finger, held it up and she understood, "Watch my stuff. I'll be back in a minute."
