Nail polish

I may have a nail polish problem. It's the only type of makeup I wear a lot. I don't need to wear it, I just like buying it. I recently discovered my love for blushes so now I get to buy all the blushes. :) Thanks to
the_grynne's giveaway some time ago I've been wearing some high-end blushes lately but I am strickly a budget girl otherwise. I like buying makeup whenever I feel like it so having a MAC habit would be ridiculously expensive.

I recently gave away about a dozen nail polishes (mostly blues & greens) to
mystisblom but I still own quite a few. I tend to gravitate towards bright, peachy-coral colours. I have to remind myself all the time not to buy more in that colour range. And I like shimmery polishes. I hardly have any dark colours. Don't let the collection of yellow polishes fool you, I don't particularly care for the colour per se. It's just that I had to go through a variety of nuances and brands to find one that a) did not look horrific with my skintone, and b) did not stain my nails so I looked like a chain smoker. For the record, anything but bright, undiluted, sunny yellow makes me look sickly; the winner is the second one from the right: P2's lemon drop polish from a 2013 sumer edition.

When it comes to favourite brands, it's pretty obvious from the picture if you know your way around German drugstore brands. I love Catrice & P2. I own a few Essence polishes but I don't like the quality. I mostly use them on my toes because they chip so fast on my fingers. Rival de Loop is hit and miss. I hate Kiko.

Anyway, the only reason I took a picture of my polishes is because I bought two new ones yesterday and they are gorgeous. Look! They are two of P2's new ones: before sunrise & lost in paradise.
