Riesen in Berlin

[This is a manual crosspost since the automatic crossposter is still down.]

I was sorting through the pictures on my harddrive today and came across photos from two years ago when the French troupe Royal Deluxe was in Berlin with their ginormous puppets. The spectacle Riesen in Berlin was part of the celebration for the twenty's anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. And it truly was a spectacle, it was absolutely magnificent. If they ever come to your town, you have to go.

The story mirrors the city's history. Once upon a time giants lived in Berlin, but one day monsters tore up the land and a wall rose up and encircled one half of the city. The Big Giant and the Little Giantess were separated. Until one day the wall came down and they found each other again.

So for four days we had giants roaming the streets of Berlin. It really was something else. I went there with the niecelets on the last day.
