So who else watched the Sarah Connor Chronicles? Will it surprise people that I did and loved it? After all, I have SO much love for the movies (never mind T3, doesn't count) and had the most ginormous crush on Kyle Reese. Hello new fandom, please do not stomp on my heart too much, 'kay?
I watched the pre-release version of the pilot. So things may be slightly different.
I didn't like the dream sequence, there was something off about Sarah's (whatshername, the actress) acting. But when she wakes John and tells him they have to go, I was sold. "One bag, plus the guns. I make pancakes." \o/ What's not to love?
Also, the actress has awesome legs. That waitress skirt was extra short.
Teen John is cute. (How old is the actor? Should I feel bad?) Not Edward Furlong cute, but really really cute.
I liked the FBI guy immediately. He is funny. *g*
Sarah Reese omg! She still loves him! Yaye!
I really like the relationship between Sarah and John. I totally buy both the mum/son and the bodyguard/protectee dynamic. And how cute was her asking if he'd met any pretty girls.
Nick Wechsler! Ahahaha! He plays a Sheriff in New Mexico! *wheezes* Oh, Kyle Valenti, I still love you. Even with that hideous mustache. And I never noticed how tiny you are back in Roswell. Guys with robot legs? You've seen weirder stuff. Roswell/SCC crossover anyone? How would I get Tess in there?
River!bot. Er. So I didn't know the role Summer Glau was supposed to play, I only knew she was in there somehow. That said, there was something subtly off about her as a teenager that I could tell she was a bot. Cameron is not River weird, she is different weird. But I will still call her River!bot.
On second viewing, did she notice evil!bot in the class room? I think so, but I'm not sure.
Highschool shoot-out. Woah. I heard they cut parts of that.
I love the homages to the movies left right and center. They really seem to be trying to tell the audience that they love the original and want to do right by it. LOVE THAT.
Did Cameron quirk a smile when Sarah told her they'll go looking for skynet? Would make sense in regard to episode 2.
OMG Sarah was shot in a car chase, like Kyle! Was that on purpose? My poor heart.
Ahaha. The SWAT team at the bank is categorized as no threat. Ahahaha.

I do not buy the timetravelling of the terminator. The metal needs to be covered in living flesh. It won't work otherwise. You cannot bring anything through time, not even clothes.
Which brings me to them. naked. Canon is a great great thing sometimes. *g*
How awesome is a show with two female leads kicking ass big time. And the male lead a damsel in distress for a change. Tiny River!bot beating up the evil big guy Terminators? \o/ Sarah all competent and fierce. John capable and smart (but also teenboy stupid) but still not JOHN: leader of mankind.
The chemistry between the three leads is fantastic!
Okay, so I am close to blind when it comes to femslash. The subtext has to be on Buffy/Faith levels for me to register. But this show, woah. That gangster lady coming over to Cameron and giving her a once over. I wouldn't have been surprised if the staring match/leaning would've turned into making out against the hood of the car. Seriously.
John's dad is always a hero, and he is always dead. *weeps into pillow*
Anyone has any theories who human Cameron was? River!bot is no generic Terminator. She knows John too well.
In conclusion: FTW!
