my african politics tutor finally wrote a response to the kony 2012 video that's been trending-- or rather, a response to the criticisms of it since they seem to have become even more popular than the video itself-- and posted it on our course forum. with each point of his that I read I thought, yes, this, exactly. I think that critical thinking is good and some of the criticisms are definitely valid, but many others are also unfair. (I also bristled at the smug tone many of them seemed to be taking, but that's largely irrelevant to this.) he addresses this fairly analytically and backs it up with reasoned thinking. I've been waiting for this.
