⇒ this band-- sea wolf-- makes me think of the winter of my second year at university. specifically its white water, white bloom album, I guess.
I listened to stanislaus some time after I came back from the two-week poland/prague trip with yan_min and ambientlight, wondering exactly which Stanislaus the song was referring to and whether it was the king whose church we'd visited. wicked blood, dew in the grass and turn the dirt over all instantly bring me back to the feeling I had when snow was falling thick and fast outside my window-- that sense of awe and wonder I felt watching it all from my room on orde hall street. ESPECIALLY turn the dirt over, probably because of its abundance of lines about snow and winter.
⇒ I think that after my exams and before I graduate, I will download a whole lot of stuff off LSE Moodle, from all the modules that I've ever been even vaguely interested in, or wanted to take but couldn't. maybe I'll read them, maybe I won't (laziness and inertia will be the main culprits in this scenario), but it will be nice to have that option before it is closed to me forever.
