I haven't updated properly for over a week - shame on me! Last week was just too hectic. Work was very busy, evenings spent viewing secondary schools for Rowan for September 2006. Two of them look pretty good - one is very large, approx. 1600 students and our favourite is tiny - just 400 students! In both, all GCSEs are taken in year 10 (a year earlier than normal), which gives lots of flexibility and choice for taking A levels early, university early etc.
My car broke down last Thursday and I had to be rescued by the AA. It took forever to get it to a garage, get a hire car and pick up Rowan. Car is now fully functioning again after £350. It still needs a service, and I need a lottery win :)
Met up with Loopy1 on Sunday at Wildwoods in Herne Bay. Had a great day - Rowan was really pleased to be reunited with Otterlymad. Saw an awful lot more animals than normal - obviously the time to go is when it is tipping down!
