Privately, Leon thought he looked like the biggest moron ever. Shirtless, bare of foot, clad only in a pair of blue swim sorts with the Gunblade belted around his waist, the Griever thought himself an idiot. But at least he hadn't lost all of his clothing.
Still, he trucked on to the main office and there spied Chun-Li leaning against the wall, looking around curiously. He lifted a hand in greeting and veered towards her.
Giving her a nod and a half-smile, he said, "Hey. Good to see ya."
She turned, spotting the man and then pushed herself from the wall. Fronting him with a small blush and a bow of her head, "Thank you for coming with me." And she brought her eyes back up to him, not before catching sight of his massive sword, and she couldn't help but smile. "That's an amazing weapon.." She commented, her eyes falling back down his toned front to the sword belted to his side. She's never seen anything like it. "It looks like it would mean a lot to you though, as you always have it.." She quickly brought her eyes up to Leon's, "Excuse me, that was none of my business to say. I'm sorry." Trying not to offend him right off the bat. She sighed with a soft 'hum' and her lips frowned, looking from the man to the floor, then toward the small bazaar. She felt incredibly awkward here, and would've hit the ground to have known that Leon felt like a moron--cause to her, he looked like he had everything under control
( ... )
Leon chuckled. "That's all right. It usually takes quite a lot to offend me, Chun-Li."
Listening intently, he shrugged when she'd finished. "Honestly? I don't really know. I haven't been here during the night yet." He scratched his temple, frowning. "And I'm not sure that I'd really want to be, either."
He turned and gazed back out at the sunset, then back to Chun-Li. "I don't think anyone knows where they come from. The jungle, most likely." He nodded to the north, where the tall trees loomed.
Chun-Li followed his simple nod toward the North. Her eyes studying the mesh of green, brown and black, some light sparkling on the leaves of the trees. But not much, the twilight keeping most of the light from being influential to the scenery
( ... )
Leon followed her dutifully, taking care to keep his mind focused on the task at hand. He hadn't yet had the opportunity to explore either, so this was a good time to do so, preferably before that siren rang and unleashed who knew what horrors.
They headed off towards the high trees north of the resort, but as they approached the last of the concrete, Leon suddenly frowned and put a hand on Chun-Li's arm in warning.
"Wait," he cautioned. "Look."
About fifty yards ahead was a waver, a shimmering something that wobbled in the setting sun's light.
Leon's hand to her arm froze her in place, complying to his warning as she narrowed her eyes to the distance. Something curious, something foreign manifested in an eerie calm sort of way, like a snake in water. Disturbing the air in ripples to it. And she fisted her hands to her side, waiting with barely a breath to see if there was consequence for seeing what it was they did.
Her brows drew together and she couldn't tear her eyes from it, "Have you ever seen anything like it?" She felt need to whisper.

"That...doesn't look right."
