Dissertation Editing

A quick google search for dissertation editors returns millions of hits. Given the nature of the internet, I consider that many of these sites and their authors are not entirely reliable. I was wondering how the members of this group would recommend finding a reliable individual or company to provide general proofreading of my dissertation? By the way, the thesis is in the area of Victorian literature and is roughly 79,500 words using Chicago citation style.
