The final push

Hi everyone,

This semester I am finally going to graduate with my MA! It's taken longer than I'd hoped, for several reasons. My thesis is due in about a month and a half, and I have a first draft due at the end of next week. Things are going well in most respects, except...

I'm bored out of my mind. My data is boring, my coding is boring, the writing is boring. I have three whole days a week to set aside for writing the thing, and most of the time is spent procrastinating in one way or another. I've tried frequent breaks, exercise, small periods of fun/relaxation throughout the day...it's all nice, but it isn't help lift the tedium. I meet regularly with my committee and get great feedback and ideas.

I know that this is how it goes with bigger project work, so I'm not expecting the boredom/frustration to just lift. I've worked on a project of this size before, but not for this long. So, I was wondering if anyone else had any advice for how to deal with this period of ennui before the OH HOLY SHIT ONE WEEK TO FINISH THIS period sets in? I have to get back to work this evening and I just want to go to bed or drink instead.

TIA.
