Expunged Misc. Coming Back?
A classmate asked and no one knew the answer, but I thought someone here might...
He's applying for his state license to student teach and on the form, it asks for not only any arrests and any convictions, but also to list anything you've had expunged. He had a 4th degree misdemeanor for petty theft in 2005 and it was expunged in 2006. His issue is that he had it expunged because he wanted it to "disappear" and fears putting it on paper will bring it back to light, negating the whole point in expunging it.
Does this seem screwed up to anyone? Do they have a right to have that info? Does he have to list it? What happens if he doesn't? Any other tips?
