I'm in a bit of an uncomfortable situation. I'm an MA student applying to PhD programs, and a couple of the applications were due yesterday. Naturally, I've kept in touch with my recommendation letter writers about this. One writer hadn't uploaded as of Wednesday night, so I wrote him an e-mail to remind him. He told me he intended to do it Thursday afternoon. Thursday, Friday, and most of Saturday have come and gone but still no upload. He obviously should be aware that it was due, so I feel rude sending him another note, especially since he's fairly preeminent. On the other hand, it's past the application deadline, and it's going to reduce my chances of getting into one of the best schools in my field. So I'm fairly stumped as to how to handle this. Any insights?
