Pilates, ice cream, and SVU

I have been here exactly two weeks. Who can believe it? It feels in some ways like we never left and in others it feels like we are light-years away from last semester.

Friday: two words...chicken STRIPS!!that is right...where has friday night gone as chicken nugget night? apparently the higher beings of that are the food decision makers have decided that strips are just as good as nuggets, i disagree. moving on...friday has adopted a new ritual as well...AMBER!!!! KATIE!!!! (with head back, one foot forward, in low, very loud voice)that is right, that is how we know the weekend has begun. Campus ministry is pretty much amazing. We had 30 tons of sand in the square. There were sand castles built, and a volley game that was played mostly by LU alumni who cannot let go. There was also a band, the effort was well noted, however, the performance was a bit lackluster. The best part of the evening was seeing the fire dancer. That is right drew dat dressed up and danced in a ring of fire holding sparklers, the moment will never be able to be recreated (the sad part is, drew dats biggest admirer missed the performance). Next Christopher, do not call me chris, fought in a light saber battler. 3 to 1. His opponents were the formidable cara, natalie, and levi. Cara was even sporting a bit blood at the end of it. That is right, Christopher is not happy until he manages to draw blood.

Saturday: two words...OREO BALLS!! Cara and callie ann and I made oreo balls. They were "breathtaking" said Katie quinn. With the left over chocolate we made chocolate covered popcorn. Which continued to aid in Katie's "freshman 15 before the first 2 weeks of school." Later, after a course of events we ended up watching "Wedding date" which is in fact better the second time around.

Sunday:two words...FIX-N-MIX FROSTYS!!! Sunday Quinn and I woke early to attended Sunday school at Hillsboro. The time was well spent. Hillsboro ended up sending three trucks full of supplies to a church in Mississippi for the refuges. After church we had the traditional sunday brunch lunch. In an effort to decide upon something fun to do Quinn, SB, Cara and I ended up sitting around and discussing every aspect imaginable. We continued the party to Wendys. Where we each got a fix-n-mix frosty. They were good, contrary to first belief. The only downfall is that you have to mix in your own topping. The oreo balls continued to be a source of conversation.

Monday:two words...FRUIT SNACKS!!! Today was a well deserved much needed day of rest. Quinn and I updated my LJ, next we will watch some Laguna Beach, until I leave for my first Pi Kappa Sigma pledge function. This week will be busy. bring it on.
