Well, as you may know, I was going to stop watching Heroes. This resolve lasted... well... one week. And, while it may have something to do with my diminished expectations, and while I remain glad I didn't see The Hard Part, Landslide did not suck!

Oh yes. I fear for Ando's life, especially after Daddy Sulu's lesson to Hiro on "you must be willing to give up your own heart" because Ando is totally Hiro's heart* - which lesson Hiro totally missed the point of, btw; did you see Sulu watching as Hiro ran off to find him?

Anyway. I found the beginning of the episode extremely stupid, by which I mean not dramatic at all. Here's (supposedly) what they've been angsting about and trying to prevent all season, and when it finally seemed to be happening, everyone just kind of...stood there. No one seemed to have a clue what was going on except Peter and Claire; HRG didn't bat an eye when his daughter pulled a gun out of her purse; and really it just dragged on too long. They should at least have been freaking out a little even if they couldn't think of anything useful to do.

And like you said: Peter could have flown away. Or Ted could have, I don't know, run far far away from Peter? Would that have helped? Claire was so quick to pull that gun out; she should have been a lot more reluctant if she really thought she'd have to use it.

I am enjoying Molly and Mohinder, and the Parkman/Bennet Crimefightin Duo. Even NikkiJessica wasn't too bad this episode, and normally I can't stand her. She's a lot better when she's working with DL (Diel?) than when she's being so ridiculous he's just convinced he has to get Micah as far away from her as possible.

And Hiro's smiles of Pure Joy still get me every single time.

*ps the whole "humorless Future!Hiro lost all his joy in living when Ando died" just turned me into a giant puddle of goo.<3

Oh, God, yes. It was exactly how a previous ep's cliffhanger should not be resolved. "Onoes I's explodin! ...False alarm." Smooth, PTB. Real smooth.

Incidentally, wouldn't it have occurred to Claire that shooting an exploding man might actually be extremely unwise? Has she forgotten the end of Company Man so quickly?
