I also speculated that the Company had just caught onto one of the people Claude had protected, and here you are adding flesh and logic and narrative to that seed of an idea. This is great.

I loved this fic. Claude is a fantastic character and I can't wait to see what they do with him.

The grass, wherever he stood, was crackling with frost, in a Texas summer. Ha! When reading this I was thinking "I was just in some crackling frost grass in Texas a while back..." and then I noticed you are in Austin too. ;) So I guess you were as well.
