Murphy's Law
So B went almost 7 months without a decent job offer right??? So Monday he started a temp job at almost $5 an hour less than he'd been making at his last job. It's close enough to my work that we can commute together so that's fine. If it turns into a permanent position he can take classes for FREE, the kids and I can go for 25% of the regular tuition and then after he's been there 5 years the kids could go for FREE. Those are some HUGE benefits...
So then yesterday Brian gets a call from a construction company to come in for a pee test. It's just for the summer but if he gets on a prevailing wage job (which most all of them are during the summer) it's over twice the hourly wage that he's making now! But it's definitely short term... but 2 paychecks at that rate we could totally be caught up with ALL of our bills!
And then today our cell phones got shut off so I can't even call him to see if he decided. I was having a hard time seeing past the short term $$$$ last night so I took myself out of the process and told him to discuss it with his family and listen to their suggestions and I would support whatever he decides...man was that hard! LOL
Anyway, wish us luck with choosing the right thing!
