After school, she makes good on what she told Parker. She heads directly toward the causeway, turning at the boys' house. She should have called ahead instead of just dropping in...but she hoped Kadaj was home and wouldn't mind. Climbing the steps, she made sure to stomp her feet before knocking so they would know she was there.

Kadaj heard her and rose from his lounging to answer the door. He knew it was CJ, not through any magical means or psychic connection. But simply, she was the only one who visted them that wasn't business.

He opened it and motioned her to come in so the cold air wouldn't rush in and the warm rush out. "Hey."

[Stepping inside, she tugged off her gloves and shoved them deep in her pockets and began to peel off her coat.]

He was curious what brought CJ out in the weather. It was rather cold and most people didn't like to be out in it. But he didn't ask.

Instead he knew if she wanted him to know, she would tell him, and he headed back into the living room and poked at the fire.

His gaze was hard, and drifting behind it, disappointment and just a bit of a pricked ego colored with confusion. Loz shook his head. "I'll get over it."

The muscles in his jaw jumped and Loz ground his teeth. "You know what I want," he said.
