And poor Sam. You've got some great images in here of Gene thinking all these big thoughts to try and comfort himself. I love the way he tries to convince himself that Annie "didn't spend her wages on booze or ciggarettes because she needed the money for all her extra undies"

I really like this, thank you. Um, sequel? Where Sam comes back and explains himself? Like the RCS guy was forcing him, or blackmailing him or something? Because he wouldn't really cheat on Gene, would he?
