She couldn't say exactly when this started, exactly how the three of them figured out what Daniel needed (he couldn't really tell them, didn't really know himself) and, well, Cam may as well learn.

Outside the window the darkness pulses at her, pushing in, suffocating, and she turns her back and heads to the cargo area. Daniel chokes out her name as she walks by. Rodney’s silence screams at her.
Fic I read and loved (not a comprehensive list)
Starting off with two older fics by troyswann. First, one I've been meaning to read forever, Desolation Angels is a beautiful look at what it means to descend and a painfully real exploration of the potential for evil Shifu carries and your heart will bleed for Daniel even as it bleeds for Jack and Sam and the rest of SGC and for all the galaxy's innocence lost in a world of Goa'uld and Ancients with words spun in a way only troyswann can. And while I was finding that link I clicked on Everything that Falls because I still haven't read everything Salieri wrote and it's a short, harsh look at descension and Daniel finding himself and Jack trying to accept how he deals with grief and the idea that Daniel could come back (mild Jack/Daniel). And, look, I'm a sucker for descension stories, okay?
Over at kellifer_fic's I stumbled across Here Was Neither Peace, Nor Rest, Nor a Moment's Safety - a short ficlet of Cameron starting to understand Daniel and exactly how crazy his new teammate might be. I'm also a sucker for "Cam gets an inkling of what he's gotten himself into" stories.
In more "Cam gets an inkling of what he's gotten himself into" news, vain_glorious wrote Watching Long In Hope and Fear with the season ten team getting out of a tight situation with some natives in one of those crazy situations SG-1 tends to find itself in. Look out for whumped, cranky Daniel, stubborn Cam, resourceful Sam, smart Teal'c, and Vala solving problems as only she can.
And now we come to porn battle (and related) ficlets (consider the rest of this list to come with NC-17 warnings) holdouttrout, inspired by a story about my Sam and Vala action figures, miniaturized Sam and Vala and stuck them in Daniel's backpack in Sandwiches and Smushing and later wrote an AMAZING Ba'al/Qetesh piece set during Continuum. Upper Hand is layers upon layers upon layers of Goa'uld intrigue and a good chess player taking on a master and I can't even begin to explain how much Trout packed into so few words. Phenomenal.
paian archived a few comment fics. In the hilarious Hol Bel Jack and Daniel accidentally discover a [retracted to not spoil the surprise] and Daniel's shift from embarrassment to arguing mysteries of the universe is a very appropriate fraction of a second. Where "Hol Bel" was humor, Vestiges is a deadly serious interaction with Cam and Vala that refuses to forget Vala was once a host.
Don't let ultranos_fic tell you she can't write porn. Just hand her Sam, Cam and cookie batter and she'll give you an in-character, playful, banter-filled, hot little scene: The Great Cookie Batter War.
And, last but rather incredibly far from least, pepper_field WROTE JACK/SARA! Mutual Victory is beautiful and in character and hot and perfect in so very many ways. I love Pepper's Sara.
