The forest was glittering, shining in the sun. The dew made the forest glitter, but that wasn’t what captured her attention.
She walked closer to the one she admired, the best friend. Victoria, the white she-cat, was sitting on the rock, watching the beauty of the place.
Victoria didn’t notice her; she didn’t look up to her friend.
She thought of her courage, the way Victoria was able to say no to Plato, instead, going for Mistoffelees. She wished she had that kind of courage, to say she loved a certain someone.
The pain of him not ever knowing still hurts her, even now. And now, she wishes she told him.
She woke from the beautiful dream, and steeled herself to face Alonzo.
Alonzo, it’s time for you to see the real me, the real Jemima.
