America searched frantically for it, promising himself that he’d find it before his friend came over.  He already promised said friend that he’d take good care of it, but now he couldn’t find it.  He glanced towards the table, and saw it sitting there.  Confused, he picked it up, but he then realized that someone was watching him.  He turned to see the ruby red eyes of Prussia, also known as Gilbert Beilschmidt.  He was curious as to why Gilbert was here-he was waiting for Kiku-but then he saw the cute chick, Gilbird as they call him… it.

He thought about asking Gilbert about his motives-he always had one-but pushed that aside in exchange for standing near the door, waiting for Kiku.  Gilbert silently followed him, amusement glimmering in his eyes.  Alfred was about to ask him a question, but then someone knocked on the door.  He happily opened it for Kiku, who was admittedly his best friend… right now.  As Kiku entered, a look of confusion then amusement etched itself on his face, and he found himself even more confused than before.  It went downhill when Kiku commented on what a cute couple they made.

Spluttering and blushing a bright red, Alfred tried to explain that he wasn’t with Gilbert, that he didn’t know what he was doing here, when Gilbert wrapped his arm around his torso, and thanked Kiku.  Glaring at Gilbert, he then tried to contradict the lie that Gilbert told, but the hold on his waist tightened slightly, and he received a warning look from Gilbert.  Pouting, he decided to go along with Gilbert, if only because he knew that the Prussian could kill him.  ‘I wish I could die right now… or maybe Gilbert.  Yes, that would make things much better.’

Alfred then realized that both Kiku and Gilbert were staring at him with concern-the look on the Prussian’s face was more mocking than he’d like it to be.  He assured them that he was fine, and that he and Kiku should go back to playing the game they were before.  Japan nodded, and the two picked up their controllers, button mashing to make sure the other couldn’t out-perform them.  Alfred had to admit, he was somewhat glad that he didn’t lose the cat that Japan gave him-it was a Maine Coon, if he was to believe his friend.

Gilbert, on the other hand, was curious as to why there was a cat that looked similar to America-it was cute, but it also looked too curious.  He tried to hold his hand out, beckoning to the cat, but it ignored him in favor of watching Alfred and Kiku play.  He frowned slightly-maybe the cat didn’t realize that he was a bit more entertaining than watching people play games.  He tried once again, grinning slightly, just to receive a blank look from the cat.  At that point, he wanted to flip a table, but refrained from doing so.

By the end of the day, America wanted to just go to sleep-he wanted to forget the whole day.  Of course, Prussia had to be an asshole, and slipped into his bed.  He glared at the Prussian, and told him to get out, but of course, Gilbert ignored him in favor for his cat, which also hopped onto his bed.  He could hear the German grumbled about how unawesome the cat was, but Alfred just chose to ignore him.  Instead, he closed his eyes, and allowed himself to sleep.  Maybe, maybe, today wasn’t so bad-he found his cat.
