[Van eyes the cake. It looks delicious, yes, but also suspicious. He hesitates a moment, before picking up a bit of frosting with the tip of a finger. He should be able to tell if there's poison or not, surely.]

Of course it does. It's purpose is to further one's knowledge, and if the current task does not serve to accomplish that, then the purpose is to have fun.

[Judging from the smile, Luke's definition of "fun" has changed quite a bit. He scowls after a moment though, fixing Van with an irate look.]
