[Jade walks up the path with a smile and stops a few feet from the cake.]

Oh, look~ A delicious cake someone has mistakenly left out in the middle of nowhere. How lucky for me that I love cake in random places♥

[He then chuckles and collects the cake. Curiosity is just trouble sometimes. Just like poorly-made traps set by redheads.]

[...oh this isn't going to end well. There's a surprised noise as the cage starts coming down, as if said redhead just realized who had purposefully set it off.]

Jade glances around himself and at the cake before holding it up.]

Why, Luke, this cake looked so delicious I couldn't help myself~ You never told me you were a baker as well.

[Luke would return it, if he actually meant it. Instead he unfolded himself, standing on the ground.]

Baking a cake is not so different from preparing a circuit board. Only instead of taking a soldering iron to it, you need to put it in an oven.

[Oh, Luke. Jade's smile is always genuine for you. Especially this you, who makes him think of that son he never had and sometimes contemplates.(This one will have a daughter, eventually...) Eying the cake a final time, he meets the Fraccion's gaze.]

[Luke paused, long enough to reach into the collar of his jacket and press the button that would real the cage back up.]

Well enough. I seemed to have disappeared for a time... thankfully, I've returned.

[Glancing around as the cage raised off him, Jade dusted his jacket lightly and smiled warmly at Luke.]

I noticed. I must confess I missed your company, Luke. Would you care to talk about it?

I wouldn't mind, if there was anything to talk about. One moment I was... the next, I merely wasn't. Strange that I was conscious of it though... it might be due to the drastic difference in dimensions...

I spoke with an Asch earlier. He was well-versed in dimensional travel and we had a theory that Lorelei likely has a hand in this...place.

Lorelei... I could believe that, easily. How could we test it, though?

We have to summon Lorelei, and check for just how well-connect it is to this place I think.

Part of the goal for this Asch was to determine where exactly in the scheme of things we were, and why it seems to be only one way.

Hm... that may be difficult. I very rarely see a Tear around here, and when my Asch and I were separated, only the Sword came to me.

Well, it will take a lot of searching as you, Asch, or... [He paused, not sure how to address their combined form he occasionally saw. His was definitely Luke, but some here took many more pieces from both.] Well, you, after you came back. Any of these could have the complete Key of Lorelei.

As for Tear... We must definitely search. Perhaps she is not summoned here deliberately to impede our efforts. [Which meant they might have to settle for Van. While Jade isn't opposed to this for practicality; Lukes, Aschs, and even Vans would likely rather kill eachother than work together.]

In a worst case scenario, we can find a version of myself that hasn't yet realized he has the Jewel within him, and force it out of him.

[Luke paused a moment, eyes flicking back and forth, as if he were reading over pages of his own memories.]

...Tear told me once that the Grand Fonic Hymn could be used without understanding the meaning behind it. If that is true, we could get by with just knowing the words and melody.
