I had a more eventful day than expected.
Intended on going to the 9am Psychology enrolment lecture but I wasn't going to make it, so I went back to sleep and swaggered into the 5pm one. Afterwards I decided to buy the books I'll need this year. The Psychology one was MASSIVE, and it cost £26.99. I had to lug it around for the next couple of hours. The Glasgow bookshops were scoured for the others I needed but I'm going to have to Amazon the few I couldn't find.
I wandered a little and decided to have a coffee before getting the train home. My preferred location was Millie's Cookies because they give you a free muffin with all hot drinks, how awesome is that! I began to wonder how they could afford to give away so many free muffins. Well, today I found out. They don't invest much in those coffee cups. When I got to the train station my hands were a little full and I had 2 minutes to catch the train. I put my stuff down on the ledge by the ticket barrier, fumbled for my ticket, put it through, retreived it then picked up my coffee. Then the cup's little circular base decided to fall RIGHT THE FUCK OFF and make a not so little mess of cheap coffee all over the joint, including the aforementioned £26.99 book, my jeans, the floor, my left shoe and probably other areas I've missed. I missed my train by the way, not that I was leaving town without getting my cup of coffee.
After that embarassing incident I decided to try Starbucks' new "Toffee Nut Latte" as I felt like a right nutjob. It was okay I suppose. On my way down this junkie asked me (for the second time today!) if I could kindly spare him some change. I respectfully declined, wished him good fortune in his endeavours and strode forth to Starbucks. Later on Murd sent me a text saying I walked by her workplace and she was banging on the window, but I didn't hear her, and that I was being harassed by some junkie. I didn't know where she works before but I was able to figure this out from her description. Aird, Gordon Campbell and Moffitt were waiting at the train station when I got back. I told them what happened, explaining why there was now a yellow, "CAUTION: SLIPPERY SURFACE" sign by the ticket barriers, which I avoided like I'm avoiding Millie's Cookies.
I replied to Murd's texts on the train. When I got off I was sending one when I hear a, "SMOOD!" Yes, it's Murd! we were on the same train, not aware of it... texting! Pretty cool.
Oh, I held the door open for someone. They actually thanked me. That never happens, so it was nice.
