This is the first Lilly/Rufus fic I have read, and let me say, gorgeous. Lilly's thoughts her sadness, how she looks at Dan and Serena, all of it. Just lovely, great job.

Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad to see there a lot of people pulling for Rufus and Lily... they're just so interesting. And I always thought Dan and Serena were just a mini Rufus/Lily in disguise.

I love that line, somehow it's so Lily and believing that he could have made her happy is such a huge compliment. sort of. one that hurts.

I thought your story was awesome by the way. kinda sad and ... I don't know...

I don't quite think I'm done with this pairing yet so there might be a couple more fics.

Lily and believing that he could have made her happy is such a huge compliment. sort of. one that hurts.

Every single thing about this pairing just kind of hurts. I think it's why I like them so much, but I do honestly believe that she believes that. It's why she's still holding on, what, 20 years later?
