They were a part of humankind once. Then came the Eugenics Wars, when all who were different were persecuted without mercy, and the preternaturals had had to band together and flee Earth with their human loyalists.
Now the day she feared has come. The humans have found them.
But she looks into this human’s eyes and sees no hatred, only something she had never thought to see there.
Innocence.
He knows what they are. It just doesn’t matter to him. They all have that look: that childlike, friendly curiosity.
He steps forward, smiles. “I’m Captain Jonathan Archer. Welcome to Enterprise.”
