Title: The Sea
Word count: 100
Characters/pairings: Jason
Challenge: #80 - Jason
Author's note: So I’m finally drabbling a little again - or not, as this was originally written the summer of 2004. I rediscovered it today, and when I looked in on the community I noticed the challenge… perfect! :~) I don’t think I’ve posted this before, as it was one of the drabbles not placed in the folder marked "abvh100".

Sometimes, Jason compares himself to the sea. He’s done that since he was little.
He’d say or do something unexpected and it would be like a fish suddenly appearing from seaweed. His mother once defined his brand of teasing as "rocking someone’s boat". He’d liked that.
As a werewolf his beast became the big unknown monster lurking at the bottom of the sea. When his family rejected him he hid his feelings behind a joking mask, the way the sun reflects on the surface of the water.
But with Anita he can be himself, rediscovering the depths he once had.
