*snicker* when Jason is the calm voice of reason, you know times have changed.

Now it's all your fault, you know, making me think of my own "when the characters have a kid and woe and ansgt and teenage drama" ficlette. Nooooo!

You were the one who decided on the Childhood challenge! And I agree, when Jason is the voice of reason...

I ended up creating a whole backstory for the kid, too. I figure that Jason is the only one who is likely to end up with a child. I just can't see Anita having a child without some major changes in her life.

I can see Anita with a kid... but more in that "oops I'm pregant" sort of way. We don't know what the changes in her body are doing, she may metabolize the BC differently, or something. Anything's possible.

But I can see Jason as an excellent father. Now, for this backstory of yours, who's the mother? ;)

In my backstory, Jason was picked up one night by a fan at Guilty Pleasures and the condom breaks. She announces she's pregnant and wants an abortion. Jason (and Jean-Claude) pay for her to have the baby along with a nice bonus check and she drops the baby in Jason's arms and takes off for parts unknown. Jason is thrilled from the get-go and he brings her up at the Circus, surrounded by loving uncles and, of course, Anita Blake.

Because I could totally see a story in that one. A big story.

First, go ahead and write it if you'd like. I'd say I'd get around to it, but...

So nearly a month after I asked to take it over...I finally started writing it.
I have just the intro up in my journal but hopefully this weekend I will be able to do the first chapter or two.

Since it was your idea I would love it if you would look at let me know what you think...you don't have to right now since there is only like two paragraphs but later that would be awesome.
