“Wait, that’s it? What the hell kind of ending is that?”
The wereleopards froze. One thing they knew well: an annoyed Anita was a dangerous thing.
Jason was braver, or perhaps more foolhardy, smiling he responded.
“It’s a trilogy; they’re two other parts.”
Mild irritation flashed in her eyes; imminent death had been taken off the table.
“So is The Matrix, and it had an ending, instead of this shit.”
Everyone groaned. Anita had given Jason just the opening he needed. Now it would be next to impossible to shut him up on the subject.
