So Shino's not one to come forward with a lot of personal information. If you have any questions about the cannon of his life, feel free to ask them here and I will do my best to come up with coherent explanations. What his daddy issues are, why he's got creepy scars on his arms, how he manages to be asocial and also quite the pimp; all questions ( Read more... )

Does he actually wear glasses like in some of his userpics? :O If so, what's his prescription?

MORE IMPORTANTLY... how would... Shino react... to Ino not-so-subtly trying to set him and Sakura up? :3 :3 :3

CAN INO KISS HIM ON THE CHEEK AGAIN THAT WAS SO CUTE. /so easily entertained

He does. At this point, his eyesight is not completely prohibitive; the bigger problem is that he's growing more photophobic, which means he's more likely to wear glasses even when he doesn't need them because their prescription includes UV protection. Right now his VA on a Snellen chart is around 20/40. Shino is hyperopic.

I need a definition of how un-subtle we're talking. Shino's area of most general obliviousness is in the romantic area. He's not particularly apt at picking up social cues for things which might come before the marriage stage of a relationship with a woman.

YES. NO. UM. HE'LL BRING HER FLOWERS AT RENT IF SHE WANTS.

... :( Dude, all I know is that I'm near-sighted and my glasses have a -3.50 prescription. I'M OBVIOUSLY A BAD BLINDISH PERSON FOR NOT KNOWING WHAT ANY OF THAT MEANS.

Hmmmm. How about maneuvering them into social situations together, alluding to the romantic potential, maybe wheedling them into a "date"... :3?

OH SHINO-KUN~~~~ ♥

I-It means he has sort of fuzzy far-sighted vision and his eyes are sensitive to light. As a non-glasses-wearing-person, I have to do silly research sometimes. >x>

Good luck with that, I guess, is the real kicker. Shino is not currently inclined toward being in social situations with Ino/prompted by Ino/wherein Ino might destroy his personal bubble further. So... I guess the way in which he'd be most receptive to being set up would be if she just needled Sakura into taking initiative with him? Does that make sense?

Oh, well. Then he just needs reading glasses. :3 If his vision isn't that bad, you could probably peg him as a +1.00 or +1.50. HMMM INTERESTING.

HEY, WHAT DID SHE EVER DO TO HIM. :| No lmao um, the problem is, Sakura is a prude and Ino can't count on her for anything. At all. If there's going to be any bubble-destroying, it's going to have to be subtle and Ino-initiated. SOMEHOW. You don't know her level of cunning and perseverance yet.

FSDJKLFJAKLJKDLA I swear, she only trolls him because she likes him. I swear.
