Okay, I have a question. I have never had the unfortunate experience of having any of my accounts suspended (though I admit I created this account because, call me paranoid, I'm afraid of retribution from the lj abuse team for joining this community). Anyways, I have talked to people who have been permanantly suspended and then, when they try to create another account and commit no violations, that account is suspended as well. My question is: how do they know? Is it purely based on the IP address, and if so, isn't it possible for two people to have the same IP address (ie random IP's with dial-up) and even if it ISN'T possible, isn't possible two seperate people who are living in the same house use the same computer and is it fair to suspend THAT person's journal just because they use the same computer and this is a really long run-on sentence, but you get the gist. So. Thoughts?
