Almost forgot to post about this...

In regards to invasion of privacy, LJ abuse does not, in fact, have any objective criteria for determining what qualifies. I had thought that if you don't provide any of the personal information on LJ and you don't link to anywhere, that it wouldn't qualify. I was wrong though. Said person even made a post giving me permission to publish their information, including their phone number, but LJ Abuse didn't care.

I had basically given the two search terms necessary to find someone's full name if they're used in the correct search engine. I didn't provide a link, I just mentioned the name of the search engine. Those two search terms were based off information entirely from said person's user info page.

The lesson is, telling people to use a certain search engine and telling them information that's on the "victim's" user info page will get you a threat from LJ Abuse. The sad part is that if I made this post any less ambiguous, I could probably get a warning. Anything beyond "look at their user info page and use some search engines" is a violation.

I guess that means if you mention someone's website which is listed on their user info and tell someone that they can WHOIS it is a violation of the LJ ToS too.
